Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment

Also referred to as OMT, it is a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on the relationship between the body's structure and function.

Members can request an appointment through the patient portal, and non-members can call the office at

859-287-2827 to schedule an appointment.

About OMT

1

During an OMT session, the physician uses various manual techniques (i.e. stretching, gentle pressure, and resistance) to manipulate the body's muscles and joints. These techniques aim to improve blood flow and nerve conduction, enhance the body's natural healing abilities, and restore balance within the musculoskeletal system.

OMT can be beneficial for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions like back pain, neck pain, and joint pain, but can also be beneficial for illnesses and chronic diseases such as sinusitis, asthma, COPD, and migraine headaches.

3

OMT is often used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan to complement other medical interventions and promote overall health and well-being.
